Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Qualification: Diploma in Quantity Surveyor/ Relevant
Sex: Male/Female
Skill Required:
• practical , logical qualities and a methodical way of thinking;
• a creative & innovative approach to problem-solving;
• strong numeracy & financial management skills
• negotiating & team-working skills
Responsibilities vary depending on the nature and stage of the project being worked on, but can include:
preparing tender & contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect
and/or the client (government agencies/ JKR/private company);
undertaking cost analysis for repair & maintenance project work;
assisting in establishing a client's requirements & undertaking feasibility studies;
performing risk, value management & cost control;
advising on procurement strategy;
identifying, analysing & developing responses to commercial risks;
preparing & analysing costings for tenders;
allocating work to subcontractors;
providing advice on progressive claims based on CPM;
analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
valuing completed work and arranging payments.
